Events : Dubai Shopping Festival is BACK with A BANG

To Welcome the Festival, Dubai is set to display six huge fireworks , marking the beginning of the much-awaited Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF). The fireworks are scheduled for 9 PM.

TONIGHT, December 15, 2022 – mark your calendar and time , 9:00 pm UAE time zone, the Sky will become Colorful and Sparkling. This is to welcome the Big Festivity of the Region, marking the beginning of the much awaited DUBAI SHOPPIONG FESTIVAL (DSF), lots of amazing activities awaits ahead. This Annual Festivity will run for 46 days this time around.

Residents and Visitors can witness these fireworks / drone show at The Beach (opposite JBR and Bluewaters), Burj Al Arab, Dubai Frame, Al Seef, Dubai Creek, and Dubai Festival City Mall.

Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF 2022) is back with a bang and Lots of Surprises waits ahead. From December 15,2022 – January 29, 2023 will kick-off the beginning of the shopping season with more than 800 brands and 3,500 outlets participating through sales — offering between 25 and 75 per cent off, regional music concerts lined up, cultural performances, pop up markets with sumptuous food from every continentals to taste and must try and live entertainment to witness.

The seven-week festival showcases the incredible experiences, events and entertainment that our great city has to offer,” said Ahmed Al Khaja, chief executive of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment.

“This DSF, we invite everyone to celebrate with us and explore the diverse experiences across entertainment, gastronomy, shopping, leisure and lifestyle that only Dubai can deliver. In collaboration with our valued partners and retailers, we look forward to another DSF season of world-class experiences that create unforgettable memories for our residents and visitors,” said Mr Al Khaja.

Sneak Peek of some things will happen during the festival:

Daily Fireworks – Every night at 8:30 or 9:00 pm DSF will have a fireworks display by Al Zarooni Group : Burj AL Arab, Bluewaters, Dubai Creek, Al Seef, Dubai Frame, JBR and Dubai festival City Mall.

Drone Shows – To make even more excitement in the sky, there will be two new drone shows daily at 7pm and 10pm at The Beach and Bluewaters. The themes Dubai Shopping Festival inspired by the DSF’s retail offerings and The Future of Dubai, inspired by the 2040 vision.

Opening Concert – December 16 at the Coca Cola Arena, Mohamed Hamaki and Ahmed Saad an Egytpian Singers will take the stage. December 23-24, January 13-14 and January 27-28 their will be a Laser and spectacular visual show.

NEW Concepts – A Dubai’s 80 pop up concept from December 23 – January 08 at Last Exit Khawaneej, showcasing a nostalgia trip from 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s. The Coreunity Festival which celebrates music, movement and wellness, will take place at Hatta from January 13 – 15, 2023.

Etisalat MOTB – Returning for a 10th year, the original alternative shopping concept , celebrates Home-Grown F&B and Retail Vendors alongside activities of local and regional artist – live entertainment.

Local Music Celebration – Dubai Beats is returning by hosting 10 musician from different genres to perform on January 6 & 7. Meanwhile from January 6 to 15, Tunes DXB will showcase in different locations around the city and include local artist such as Hamdan AL Abri, Alya Al Ali, Maitha Al Mansoori, and Shebani with daily performance from 5pm to 11pm.

Culture and Art Experiences – High production OVO by Cirque du Soleil will show at Coca Cola Arena from January 12 to 18 (for tickets check on platinum list website or coca cola arena website ).

World Tennis League – December 19 to 24, Tennis Star Novak Djokovic, Iga Swiatek and Alexander Zvrev are among the names that will participate in this year’s sporting event at the Coca Cola Arena. Afterwards, enjoy daily musical concerts by Tiesto (19) , WizKid (20), Ne-Yo(21), Deadmau5 (22), Mohamed Ramadan (23), and Armin Van Buren (24).

Closing – Hollywood film composer Hans Zimmer (The Oscar and Grammy winner is known for his work on films such as The Lion KingInterstellar and Dune) and his 45-piece band, orchestra, and dancers will perform at Coca-Cola Arena on January 27.
